Sacroiliac Joint Pain

Sacroiliac Joint Pain (sacroiliitis) is an inflammation in the sacroiliac joints. The sacroiliac joints are the joints that connect the lower spine to your pelvis. These are very common causes of lower back pain originating over the buttocks area and radiating down the back of the leg into the knee area. Prolonged sitting, standing or climbing tend to make sacroiliitis worse. Common treatments include physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications and sacroiliac joint injections.
